J.T. the L.A. Storyteller, also known as the creator of Los Cuentos de Los Angeles, has published articles for working-class communities in L.A. since 2014. Articles focus on local policy-making, including on the issues of housing and policing, L.A. City and County elections, California history, and more. I also organize to bring literary arts and communities together through my nonprofit, Quien Es Tu Vecindario.

In March 2021, I led and hosted the first-ever discussion series and educational program on Redlining, Gentrification and Housing in East Hollywood. Since 2022, I've been working on K-Town Is OK, a new platform dedicated to the people of Koreatown. To learn more, subscribe to J.T. the L.A. Storyteller Podcast, where I publish episodes every other Friday.
